Vala Afshar
VP of Global Technical Services
Vala Afshar is Vice President of Global Technical Services for the Network Infrastructure and Security business unit (Enterasys). Afshar is responsible for the worldwide contact center operations including technical support, field and support engineering and service infrastructure technologies. Afshar and his team have successfully implemented an industry-leading cloud computing customer relationship management framework that enables Enterasys to use business and performance management analytics to achieve best-in-class employee retention and customer satisfaction. Enterasys’ strong technical service and support capabilities are recognized by the global customer and partner community, as well as industry analysts, as key differentiators for the company.
Afshar joined Cabletron in 1996 and has held a variety of increasingly senior-level engineering management positions at both Cabletron and Enterasys. Previously, Afshar was Vice President of System Quality Assurance, Solutions Engineering, and Worldwide Educational Services.
Afshar earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
