Chris Crowell
Executive Vice President, Research & Development
Chris Crowell is executive vice president of research and development for Enterasys Networks, responsible for the company’s hardware and software product development and engineering activities. Crowell joined Enterasys in June 2006 with more than 20 years of hardware and software engineering and business management experience.
Before joining Enterasys, Crowell spent several years with Aprisma Management Technologies, where he was head of R&D. Aprisma began as the SPECTRUM unit of Cabletron Systems, which later became Enterasys.
Crowell joined Cabletron in 1992 and held a variety of increasingly senior R&D positions in the SPECTRUM business unit at both Cabletron and Enterasys. He began his career as an engineer for General Electric and later worked for AEG.
Crowell earned his master’s degree in computer engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and he also holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
