With the holiday season in full-swing, my thoughts are drawn to our customers - the primary reason for our business success. Although we are now officially the Siemens Enterprise Communication Group, which includes Enterasys, SER Solutions and Siemens Enterprise Communications, I want to assure you that the customer-centric philosophy that Enterasys is renowned for will continue to live on.
The results of the Enterasys 2008 Customer Satisfaction Survey are in and I want to highlight the fact that 95% of you said that you would buy from Enterasys again, and would recommend us to a peer. Thank you! This is undoubtedly the highest compliment that any vendor could hope to receive from their customers. Especially during these times of change, we will remain committed to you by continuing to earn the right to your business on a daily basis.
As many of you know, Jim O’Neill has been appointed CEO of the Siemens Enterprise Communications Group. Although Jim has set up his office in Munich Hofmannstraße – which is now the operational hub of the entire Siemens Enterprise Communications Group joint venture – he has been spending most of his time on the road meeting with customers, partners, and the different business units. In his travels he has gained a better understanding of how the company works and what challenges we face. Jim has been impressed by the outstanding achievements and commitment that he has seen. Jim has a strong sales background and intends to participate in many more meetings with customers to discover ways to serve you better.
I am pleased to announce that Chris Crowell has been promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Siemens Enterprise Communications Group Data Business Unit to oversee all of the Enterasys operations. Chris brings to the role more than 20 years leadership experience building collaborative organizations with customer focus, while driving profitable revenue growth for technology companies. I am very confident in Chris’ experience and expertise to lead the Enterasys team successfully toward new growth opportunities as part of the joint venture.
