Enterasys Networks Demonstrates Strong Momentum with Growing Revenue and Product Leadership

Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications company, today announced seven quarters of sequential revenue growth, along with consistent expansion across several key world-wide regions, and demonstrated traction with new products and partnerships announced over the past six months. Enterasys’ recent product and revenue momentum has been consistent despite the current economic downturn, setting it apart from other network infrastructure vendors.
“The switched Ethernet business was under market pressure in Q2 CY 2011. Revenues for this product category declined three percent year over year and grew by eight percent sequentially,” said Alan Weckel, senior director at analyst firm Dell’Oro Group. “Enterasys delivered a solid quarter with a sequential growth of 25 percent and year over year of 24 percent in Q2.”

Market Leadership and New Customers
Enterasys has signed on 1,000 new global customers during the first half of the year, many moving from competitors to deploy Enterasys products. Enterasys has experienced consistent growth across several key regions, including North America, Brazil, and EMEA, and success with a number of vertical industries, particularly K-12 and higher education
. Enterasys solutions provide education customers with a deep level of policy control, which allows them to manage the growing trend of “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) with a set of tools that help strike the appropriate balance between control and accessibility.

New Switching Portfolio; Management and Security Software Drive Revenue
Over the past two years, Enterasys has refreshed its entire portfolio of products, with major new solutions, such as the Enterasys S-Series
, and refreshed versions of the Enterasys A-, B-and C-Series switching solutions. In addition to new hardware offerings, customers have identified Enterasys management and security software as key differentiators as they drive up the value of products.
