Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications Company, today announced its OneFabric Ready Alliance Partner Program, an extension of the new OneFabric architecture also announced today. The program has been designed to align best-of-breed innovative technology partners in an ecosystem that enables customers to unlock additional value from the OneFabric architecture. The program will demonstrate a market commitment to flexible and interoperable IT infrastructure solutions, lowered IT operational costs, and removal of traditional disjointed application service delivery impediments driven by many single-sourced vendor’s proprietary solutions.
"As the current trend of IT consolidation and virtualization continues to disrupt the legacy application delivery infrastructure, there is a need to provide customers with integrated solutions that share intelligence across network, servers, storage, and applications,” said Ram Appalaraju, global VP of marketing, Enterasys Networks. "Joining forces in partnership with supporting OneFabric Ready technology vendors will grant the virtualized IT enterprise greater agility, translating to accelerated service delivery times with improved end-to-end management and security of applications."
Today the OneFabric Ready Alliance Partner Program includes a growing list of partners in the areas of virtualization, storage, WAN optimization, security and mobility.
Virtualization – VMware
“As a VMware Elite-level partner, Enterasys and its OneFabric architecture integration with VMware vCenter™ Server provides customers a new level of network flow visibility. It also provides network administrators an automated process for securely provisioning VMs on both the physical and virtual network,” said Parag Patel, vice president, Global Strategic Alliances, VMware. “VMware customers can benefit from the dynamic auto-provisioning of network resources and unified management provided by the Enterasys OneFabric architecture.”
Security – Palo Alto Networks
"Enterprise IT organizations now view Palo Alto Networks as an essential vendor in their networks, so it's incumbent upon us to continue collaborating with our industry's best-in-class vendors to ensure that customers can reap the most from their network security investments," said Punit Minocha, vice president of corporate and business development at Palo Alto Networks. “Enterasys with its OneFabric architecture has demonstrated a commitment to open and interoperable secure networking solutions, providing joint customers our combined solution value of enterprise ‘edge to internet’ visibility and control.”
WAN Optimization – Silver Peak
Optimizing the wide area network (WAN) is essential for today’s critical IT initiatives and Silver Peak’s Virtual Acceleration Open Architecture (VXOA) aligns perfectly with the OneFabric Ready Alliance program with the highest-capacity, most comprehensive and lowest cost options for deploying WAN optimization virtually anywhere within the network,” said Marc Trimuschat, vice president of business development and alliances for Silver Peak. “By participating in the OneFabric Ready Alliance program, we are collectively driving IT organizations to do more with less by investing in complimentary technologies that are easy to deploy and integrate seamlessly.”
Unified Storage and Compute – Pivot3
“Pivot3 was founded on the idea that virtual servers, shared storage and networks could be radically simplified and unified in order to drive down complexity and cost while increasing scale-out performance,” said Olivier Thierry, Chief Marketing Officer for Pivot3. “By participating in the OneFabric Ready Alliance, customers can tap into pre-defined converged solutions that have been designed to work together and generate a better and faster return-on-implementation.”
Enterasys offers OneFabric Ready Alliance Program partners the following benefits:
