Enterasys provided SAP with its Aurorean Virtual Network solution – the only VPN that automatically creates secure tunnels through clients' corporate firewalls, proxy servers, and network address translation (NAT) servers, which often block VPN tunnels. Aurorean VPN client software intelligently determines when it is being blocked by one of these network devices and then transparently adjusts the VPN tunneling to enable the secure connection. All of this is done without requiring any user intervention and without compromising the host network's security policies. In fact, SAP's pilot deployment of Aurorean was accomplished without a single help desk call. Full deployment of the Aurorean solution is expected to significantly improve revenue and productivity for SAP.
