TARRYTOWN, NY -- February 12, 2003--Westcon Group, Inc., a global channel provider of networking and telecommunications technology products, announced that it has signed an agreement with Enterasys Networks, Inc. (NYSE: ETS), a leading provider of Business-Driven NetworksTM for enterprise customers. Westcon will distribute Enterasys’ entire line of enterprise networking solutions, both wired and wireless, through Westcon subsidiaries in North America, Europe, The Middle East and Africa. The agreement provides Westcon Group with a broad line of leading-edge networking infrastructure and security products, and enables Enterasys to broaden its distribution throughout many regions of the world.
Under its Business-Driven Networks strategy, Enterasys designs products that deliver security, productivity and agility through customer-focused network solutions that align with business priorities. Among the products that Westcon will carry are Enterasys’ switching, routing, VPN, wireless LAN, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and network management offerings. With a focus on security solutions, Westcon will strongly promote the award-winning Enterasys Security Router 1800 Series (XSR-1800) and Enterasys Dragon IDS products.
