| Course Overview: |
Within this course, students will learn methods to properly deploy configure and manage their network infrastructure utilizing the Enterasys NetSight Management Suite. Within the NetSight Management software, students will gain hands on experience by performing real world tasks in a robust lab environment including Console, Inventory Manager, Policy Manager, Automated Security Manager, and Policy Control Console. |

Course Prerequisites: |
Students should possess an understanding of network fundamentals, traffic classifications, and general network management concepts, as well as traditional wireless networking products, concepts and technologies. Upon completion of this course, students will have gained the knowledge to best utilize all the existing capabilities within the NetSight Management Suite to both effectively and efficiently run their enterprise network. |

Area of focus within the class involves:
- Console – Overall installation, Client Server configurations, Security methods (SNMPv3), device groups, Topology Manager, FlexViews, Compass, and configuring Alarms and Events
- Inventory Manager – Firmware upgrades, Reset Wizard, Archiving, Reset and Restore Wizard, Template usage and Capacity Planning
- Policy Manager – Overview and understanding of Quality of Service (QoS), Enterasys Policy Implementations, Roles, Classification Rules, Configuration of QoS using Policy Manager, and Policy Deployments
- Automated Security Manager – Overview of the Automated Security Manager, capabilities and configuration
- Policy Control Console – Overview, including feature descriptions, Location Hierarchy, Users and groups within the Policy Control Console (PCC) functionality
