NetSight® Policy Control Console
Actionable policy control for non-technical users
NetSight® Policy Control Console (PCC) is an easy-to-use, browser-based tool that enables non-technical users to select and activate any available policy. PCC is a user-friendly Web-based console that provides managers, supervisors or instructors with direct control over who is accessing which network applications and resources in a defined location during a particular time.
Once the IT administrator creates the policies, any authorized user can deploy them in a conference room, classroom or anywhere that unrestricted network access is a disruption. Typically, each policy will only be appropriate for a particular location during a specific time period. PCC provides users with access to the network services they require while preventing, for example, students from using instant messaging or e-mail during class. When employees or students need to access the Internet, the manager or teacher can instantly authorize the appropriate level of access. It only takes one click to enable or disable any number of pre-configured network policies, and the console instantly acknowledges all changes. The administrator can specify the duration of a given policy and the room will return to the default configuration automatically at the chosen time.
